Isn’t it crazy how good kids are at sharing germs and getting each other sick? Especially this time of year as we’re all spending more time indoors and in close quarters with each other.  

I don’t know about you, but we are too busy to be getting sick! I’m so excited about using essential oils to boost our immune systems because they work SO crazy well and they are super easy to use. Honestly…. crazy simple. Let me fill you in.

Diffusing oils is SO easy and straightforward. Just fill a diffuser with water (tap or filtered), add about 5-6 drops of essential oil and hit GO! You’ll be breathing in oils for hours and this is extremely gentle and safe.  

For topical use, rollerballs are THE BOMB. I keep them in my purse, my son keeps one in his backpack, and they are all over the house for a variety of uses. 

To make a rollerball all you do is get a rollerball like this one (http://amzn.to/2h9EoDW) and fill it with a carrier oil (my favorite is fractionated coconut oil) then add the desired number of drops of essential oil. I like about 15 drops in ours. A little less for young kids and elderly, a lot less for babies.  Check out the handy dandy rollerball dilution guide below.

Here are my favorite blends for kiddos!

Immune Boosting Blend

  • 3 drops Melaleuca 
  • 2 drops Wild Orange 
  • 3 drops OnGuard blend 
  • 2 drops Frankincense
  • Fractionated Coconut Oil to the top

I like to swipe this on the bottom of the feet and up/down the spine before school and before bed! 

Focus Blend {great for school and homework}

  • 3 drops Peppermint
  • 3 drops Wild Orange 
  • 3 drops Rosemary 
  • Fractionated Coconut Oil to the top

Tummy Tamer Blend

  • 15 drops DigestZen blend 
  • Fractionated Coconut Oil to the top

Roll this directly on the stomach area. Repeat as needed every 30 minutes but typically after 1-2 applications, there is relief!

Calm Down Blend

  • 3 drops Balance blend 
  • 3 drops Lavender
  • 2 drops Juniper Berry 
  • 2 drops Frankincense
  • Fractionated Coconut Oil to the top

SleepyTime Blend

  • 3 drops Lavender
  • 2 drops Vetiver
  • 3 drops Cedarwood
  • 2 drops Frankincense
  • OR just get the Serenity blend and do 15 drops of that
  • Fractionated Coconut Oil to the top

Roll on spine, bottoms of feet and chest. Also diffuse overnight using a diffuser that can run for 8 hours like the AromaLite from doTerra.

Added bonus of using oils?  The kiddos are learning to turn to NATURE for problem solving, not chemicals or pharmacies. Game changer!

They also source oils from around the world which is extremely important – lavender from France is very different from the lavender grown in Kentucky. When a plant is in its natural environment and climate, it produces the best oils.
